The Days of Offering

In this 7-week portal, Ariella will share daily transmissions on the practice of Counting the Omer and weekly conversations on the Sefirot of the week.

What is Counting the Omer?

The Counting of the Omer is the seven-week period between the Jewish holidays of Passover and Shavuot. 

Passover (the holiday of Liberation, exodus and leaving the narrow places [mitzrayim] within ourselves) & Shavuot (the time of receiving the torah, the holy-day of receiving divine instructions, union w G-d and the people).

Biblically, it is commanded that we count the 49 days between the holy-days.

The origins of The Counting come from agricultural times, and mark the 49 day time between the beginning and the end of the wheat harvest. 

During Temple Times the custom was to make an offering of a sheath of barley to the sacred Temple. This waving of the barley was an offering of the first harvest, reminding the people to harvest first fruits for creator, then for ourselves.

During this portal time, we are invited to assess where we are in the cycle of things; to reflect, refine, observe, offer and create.

In modern times we use this as a transformational journey, a process of refinement that takes us from personal and collective liberation, to a receptive union with God (Shavuot). This journey is done through traversing the Tree of Life and exploring the God energies that live within this ancient map of creation.

I offer that this journey can also be a (re)learning of how to move into right relation with all our relations, that we can again utilize this practice as an offering practice. Learning how to make offerings in a modern day context.

Utilizing the bottom 7 Spheres of the Tree, in relational combination, over 7 weeks (7 weeks, 7 days each week =49 days) we get to explore how we relate to these different manifestations of G-D. In order to become more fully ourselves and learn what is ours to do.

This map is also a blueprint of creation, and therefore when we acquaint ourselves with this map, we can become more powerful creators & magicians, on behalf of the healing and transformation of the world.
